Sam, What a great blog. I am passing this along to Bill and Katy. Actually I did not know the story about Fred Smith and exactly how he started FedEx – very interesting. Hope he sent a letter by FedEx to the Yale professor who gave him a “C!”
Please put this goal in your head – teach your mother how to receive and send email!! Love, Cindy

Hi Sam, Back in the late 60’s when I met Bill, he had a desk, a list of possible contacts, and a black touch-tone telephone at Paine, Webber, Jackson & Curtis brokerage firm in the First National Bank in downtown Dallas. Unlike brokers today he had spent several months in New York in training and preparing for his job. You are “right on” with your “Walking a tight rope” blog entry – there is definitely a fine line in the art of communicating with prospective clients. Every reader will benefit from your ideas using the newest technology.
